Host: Today we want to talk about Geeks42…what is that?

Cy: For those of you who are comedy and sci-fi geeks you know that “42” is the answer to life, universe and everything. Comes from the comic fiction series “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy”. So you add your Madison Geeks that that and we are your answer to all of your technology needs.

Host: Well done! That is so awesome. Not that anybody has a need for technology help…right.

Host: That sounds likes it’s some type of program that you do, the Geeks42 membership?

Cy: True, it is a membership program that we have for both businesses and we have a residential version as well. It basically means you have a Geek at your fingertips whenever you need one.

Host: Awesome. Does that cover computers too?

Cy: There are computers as well as other technology devices in your home. You can have it cover your smartphones, if you want to have help with your smartphones at times. Your printers, we even help with networking issues as well.

Host: You were talking about social media last time that you were here, does that cover that as well?

Cy: It’s kind of outside the scope of the Geeks42 membership which focuses more on your devices, keeping them up and running.
Host: Okay. So if I have a problem how do I get ahold of you? What’s the best way for me to get help?
Cy: What we do is, we install an agent on all your computer desktops, and so that’s going to be the quickest way to get response because with Geeks42 you get 24/7 remote support for it. Which means chat or email or telephone support. And so by accessing a little agent on your desktop, that initiates that process.

Host: So it’s 2 a.m. and I need help, you can do that?

Cy: Yes we can. And if it’s something that can’t be handled remotely you can decide to either wait until the next day to have someone, one of our Geeks, come out to your place of business or residence. Otherwise you also have the option of on-site emergency service which, as a Geeks42 member, you get substantially discounted.

Host: Wow, cool. I can see that getting out of hand though. You’re watching Netflix at like 3 a.m. and your internet connection fails or something and I’m calling Madison Geeks to help me out..

Cy: We’ve even been known to contact your internet service provider, Charter or what not, for you.

Host: I’m loving this. You don’t have to do anything, you can just stay in your bed and stay in you’re PJs you don’t have to get out. That’s so much fun.

Host: Could you help too with phones and computers and have them talk to my Smart TV?

CY: Yes, so for networking, like your Bluetooth devices they have all these neat ways of your TV, internet and phone connecting so that you can interact with everything at the same time. And you’re programming. We help to make sure everything talks to each other the way that it should. So we can come out to your place. We also really pride ourselves on providing education. We really want our technology users to feel empowered and capable. So we always take that extra time to educate everyone that we work with to make sure they really understand how to use their technology to it’s fullest.

Host: Everything changes so fast.

Cy: It does, it does.

Host: It helps to have someone you can go to to keep up with it. Is there anything else that you can tell us about this Geeks42 membership?
